UNCW MIFLC 2008

The 58th Annual Mountain Interstate Foreign Language Conference will be held at The University of North Carolina Wilmington, 9-11 October 2008. It will be hosted by the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures and the College of Arts and Sciences at UNCW.

The Mountain Interstate Foreign Language Conference (MIFLC) is an annual forum of university, college, and high school scholars and teachers for exchanging ideas and advancing the cause of scholarship in foreign language studies. (See the call for papers for a listing of typical areas.) It is held each fall at a host university in Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia, although its draw is national and international in scope. The conference consists of three days of presentations in multiple sessions, with a banquet and specially invited keynote speakers. The conference also sponsors the MIFLC Review, an annual journal of selected papers on foreign languages and literatures from the conference and edited by Leonor Ulloa.
